VICTRON ENERGY TEMPERATURE SENSOR FOR BMV-702/712 & Smart Shunt- ASS000100000
Victron products can make use of temperature sense information to improve accuracy of battery charging.
To Connect Temperature Sensor To Victron BMV702/712:
This temperature sensor allows the second channel of the BMV 702 to be used for battery temperature measurement instead of to monitor the voltage of an auxiliary battery. The BMV can store the temperature readings in is historical data store. The sensor is not the same as sensors used in other Victron products so this can only be used with the BMV702 The sensor comes with a short lead which plugs into the circuit board on the shunt.
To Connect Temperature Sensor To Victron Smart Shunt:
The temperature sensor wiring replaces the power wire included in the SmartShunt kit; per Step 8, the red fused wire from the temperature sensor is now the power supply wire and plugs into the B1 port, and the black wire plugs into the B2 port and you’ll be good to go (though you will of course need to configure the SmartShunt to read temperature data from the auxiliary port).
